Maybe it’s just because fall is (quickly) approaching, but I’ve been seeing a lot of orange lately; flowers, cars, clothes, etc. Apparently it’s symbolic of wealth & abundance – but it also made me think of this warm & colorful orange-licious wedding between Gerardina & Michael at the beautiful Inn at Hyde Park. If you’re in the middle of planning your own wedding right now, these images make a serious case for why you should include orange in your color scheme. Keep scrolling to take in all the tones & even more cuteness.
There are 2 very different moods during bridal prep: vogue & stoic or vogue & CONTAGIOUS smile. Gerardina embodied both.
First looks with parents are always such a sweet moment. If you’re on the fence about doing a first look, hop on the side that says “DO IT. IT’S ADORABLE.”
…And if you don’t want to do a first look with your partner, hide behind a wall and hold hands instead. Still a super cute photo op.
Like I mentioned back in the wedding color-choosing guide: complimentary colors are GREAT for photos. It may not seem like orange & blue, yellow & purple or red & green go together but trust me – they do. And if you’re feeling stuck on which flowers to choose, keep these questions in mind when you’re florist-hunting.
It’s always adorable to look over at the friends & family gleaming with love and support during the ceremony. P.s. – that’s a great reason to have a second photographer at your wedding. It’ll ensure you get allll the important moments and then some. More tips on that coming soon.
Those literally-just-got-married smiles.
I hope throwing confetti & flower petals never dies out. It’s a great textural element for those post-ceremony photos. And who doesn’t love confetti (and flowers) ((and throwing things))?
Just about the cutest damn thing you ever did see.
Can we normalize outtake photos? They are so revealing of the true fun-loving nature of every couple, and everyone needs a good candid.
I’m telling you – orange.
When we say we will be there to photograph moments that start to get a little blurry, this is what we mean.
It really makes you wonder what song warranted this moment:
Is there a personal fav song of yours that also makes you want to tackle your friend in a fun-loving manner? Drop it in the comments. Need inspo, tysm.
All in all, I’d say it was a successful, beautiful, warm day full of love at the Inn at Hyde Park. Orange really is the new black (but not the new pink – whoever said that was seriously disturbed).
